The municipal nursery donates trees to NGOs, schools, churches and similar organisations upon application on a letterhead of the organisation at no cost during Abor Week and at a reduced amount according to an approved Council tariff during the rest of the year. Verges in front of privately owned erven are the responsibility of the owner of the erf. The Municipality relies on the "civic pride" of the abutting residents/owners to maintain the verges in front of their properties.
