UPDATE ON PARTS OF THE CITY EXPERIENCING DISRUPTIONS DUE TO DEPLETED STORAGE LEVEL AT EMERALD RESERVOIR - April 14, 2021
The City would like to update residents on the water disruptions some areas are experiencing. We are still currently unable to supply water to a large area of the Metro due to the depleted storage level at Emerald Hill Reservoir.
Last night's fault at the Churchill Water Treatment Works has since been repaired at 16H00 on 13 April 2021, however the system has failed to recover and Emeraldhill reservoir and is currently at 1,3%.
With day peak demand and draw off, the system is not likely to recover today. The system is vulnerable due to the ongoing drought and water production deficit and therefore we are not able to provide 100% assurance that water will be restored sooner.
At this stage, no time frames are available and the water provision continuity plan will be through water trucks.
Areas that will be experiencing water disruptions / low pressure are currently:

4. Glen Hurd
5. Newton Park
6. Greenacres
7. Parts of Cotsworld
