SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT (OPERATIONS)

(TRAFFIC AND LICENSING)

POSITION CODE: 190080

TASK Grade 12 (R360 948 - R501 828 per annum)

(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

 

 

Qualifications and experience required:

 

·        Traffic Officer’s Diploma, ITO III or relevant degree

·        Computer literacy – Office applications.

·        Valid Code EB driver’s License.

·        Four to five years’ relevant experience.

  • Investigation report writing skills.
  • Control and management skills.
  • Must be physically fit and able bodied.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.

 

Job purpose:

 

  • Managing the implementation,monitoring,evaluation and reporting sequence of outcomes associated with plans and programmes designed to accomplish key service delivery objectives with respect to traffic control, communication and law enforcement operations and execution of warrants of arrest, through the co-ordination of operations associated with the enforcement of all applicable Laws and By-laws in order to ensure that the risk of damage to property and /or loss of lives is limited through prompt and efficient execution of sequences and applications.

 

 

As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
