ELECTRICITY INTERRUPTION ON 21 OCTOBER 2018

Residents are advised of a proposed electricity shutdown on SUNDAY, 21 OCTOBER 2018, between the hours of 08h00 and 16h00, in various areas of Nelson Mandela Bay, caused by the temporary shutdown of the College Drive Substation, to allow repairs and maintenance to be carried out on a local transformer.  

Areas affected: Mill Park, St. Georges Park (only end of College Drive Road), Glendinningvale, Greenacres, Scotstown.

Streets affected: Ascot Road, Barris Walk Street, Bradshaw Street, Churchill Road, College Drive, Conyngham Road, Cape Road, Dene Road, Fairford Road, Highbeech Road, Lenox Street, McLean Road, Mill Park Road, Mortimer Road, Nightingale Street, Ramsay Lane, Salisbury Avenue, Wares Road, Way Avenue, Wembley Road, Westview Drive, Woodville Road, Young Road. 

All installations must be treated as live for the duration of the outage. - Apologies are tendered for any inconvenience caused.

AMENDMENT OF CONTRACTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH MFMA

AMENDMENT OF CONTRACTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 116 (3) OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT: MUNICIPAL FINANCE MANAGEMENT ACT (MFMA), ACT NO. 56 OF 2003, AS AMENDED


1. The Municipality hereby gives notice that its Budget and Treasury Directorate has amended the contract details of the following Service Provider, which requires consultation in terms of Section 116 (3) of the MFMA :

      1.1 SCM 15-113/S – Enterprise Resource Planning System (mSCOA Compliant).

      2. In complying with Section 116 of the MFMA, the community is hereby invited to lodge any objections to the amendment as stated above.

      3. The local community and other interested persons are hereby invited to submit written comments or representations concerning the amendment on or before 22 NOVEMBER 2017to:

4. Any person who cannot write, but wishes to submit comments or representations in terms of Clause 3 above may come to the twelfth (12th) floor, Mfanasekhaya Gqobose Building, Govan Mbeki Avenue, Port Elizabeth on any business day between the hours of 08:30 a.m. and 16:00 p.m., where  Ms B. Gonya, a staff member of the NMBM, will assist any such person in transcribing his/her comments or representations.

5. This complete information statement and the contract amendments may be viewed on the twelfth (12th) floor, Mfanasekhaya Gqobose Building, Govan Mbeki Avenue, Port Elizabeth on any business day between the hours of 08:30 a.m. and 16: 00 p.m.; Ms B.
