Member of the Mayoral Committee for Safety and Security, Cllr John Best, commended the Metro Police for their hard work and said the officials deserve a pat on the back for diligently enforcing road safety.

"During the Motherwell operation, nine motorists refused to stop and were apprehended following high speed pursuits. The South African Police Services arrested five of them and our Metro Police the other four. They now face charges for driving under the influence of alcohol.
